Joining Slack

You can join our Slack by following the instructions under the Resources tab on our member's website: members.vamotorsports.org . If you have any questions regarding joining our Slack, please contact Steven Peng at sjp3cv@virginia.edu.

Paying Dues

There are two categories for dues: Membership and Social. In order to join the club as a member, you must pay the Membership dues. If you wish to participate in our various social events, such as bonfires, team dinners, game nights, and much more, then you will need to pay the social dues as well. Also, the membership dues comes with a team shirt!

The costs are as follows for the 2019-2020 School Year:

Before Spring Semester Starts
  • Membership: $35
  • Social: $25

After Spring Semester Starts
  • Membership: $30
  • Social: $15

Payments can be made to @VirginiaMotorsports on Venmo, but if you are unable to do so, then cash is also accepted at Lacy Hall to our Vice President of Finance, Carolyn Wong.

Safety Training

In order to participate in the hands-on aspects of the organization, you'll need to complete four safety trainings if you haven't already: three online and one in-person with our Shop Supervisor, Sebring Smith.

The three online safety trainings are as follows:
  1. http://ehs.virginia.edu/Shop-Studio-Safety-User-Agreement.html
  2. https://researchcompliance.web.virginia.edu/cst/shop_studio_safety_orientation/verify_login_credentials.cfm
  3. https://researchcompliance.web.virginia.edu/cst/firesafety_InLabsShopsStudios/verify_login_credentials.cfm

To complete your in-person safety training, you'll need to schedule a time to meet with Sebring at Lacy Hall. You can do so by emailing him at sebring@virginia.edu.

Member Information

In order for us to operate efficiently and effectively as an organization, we do request some information from you. The website is members.vamotorsports.org, and instructions on how to login are on the bottom of that website. Once you have logged in, navigate to “Member Profile” at the top (might be under a menu if you’re on a mobile device), and click “Edit Profile” on the top right. From there, you can enter all of the required information. Once you’re done, hit “Save Changes” and you should get a pop-up saying whether or not it was successful. If so, you’re good to go! If not, then contact Miller Garrett at mcg5de@virginia.edu for support and he'll get back to you ASAP.

Google Calendar

In order to schedule team meetings and social events, we highly suggest that you import you UVA Class Schedule into your Google Calendar, along with any other recurring events, such as practices, that you may have. Instructions on how to do so can be found here or on the members website under Resources.

Also, add our Google Calendar to your account to keep up with all the events and meetings that we have  by clicking here!
